Here we go again....................another day in a motel room. Oh, don't get me wrong, the chance to kick back and relax is great....but great ended a few days ago. Let me back up. Last week we had to have our truck serviced at one of our yards...this requires changing the oil, greasing, bring fluid levels up to where they should be and checking for any problems....this should be about a 3 - 4 hour job. The mechanic, and I use that with great prejudice, took 8 hours and still not get it finished. All four drive tires needed replaced and I had told them that the engine was running rough and to check it and he was not able to do that. What he did manage to do was change the oil, grease and chance to oil and fuel filters. The next day, a female mechanic got our tires replace, The shop did not tell her to check the engine problem. We left to get a load and after picking it up the truck was running worse, so back to the yard and give that load away so we can go back into the shop. Finally we get someone who knows what he is doing. He asked who had worked on out truck and I told him some new kid. He shook his head and said that the kid would never had been by himself as he did not know what he was doing. Now we have an air compressor gone bad and the kid should have know that. SSSssssooooooooooo that means another night in a motel. They get it fixed and off we go again to pick-up yet another load. We are loaded and on our way, at least you would think, but nnnooooooooo. The engine is running rough and we are loosing power and we are now on a two lane highway on a steep grade almost to the top before we can find a spot to squeeze into to get off the road. Lights on the dash are blinking and the engine just wants to unbolt its self from the frame and jump off the mountain. We call breakdown and they get hold of someone to come help us, An hour later he shows up and hooks his computer to the trucks brain and tells us that we have an injector that has gone bad. We tell breakdown and they get hold of yet another shop as the problem falls under warranty work. Call dispatch, they are sending another truck to come get our load. Three hours later the other truck shows up and takes out load and we bobtail the the truck shop. Had to laugh when we got there as their name is Horwith freight liner, makes sense as this truck has been steadily f..king us.
So here it is Friday night and they close at 11pm and tell me that they cannot get to us till Monday.......back to but yet another motel. Call them on Monday and yelp, you guessed it, not going to ready today, perhaps tomorrow.....great. Now, if you have not been keeping track of the days that have gone bye let me bring you up to speed......................NO FRIGGIN PAY.....NO MOOLA......NO GREENBACKS......NOTTA $$$$$$$ !!!!!!

Oh the joys of the trucking life we live....yelp, we get to put of with rudeness, lack of common sense and just plain stupidity from coast to coast. So that is why I wear the button.
Here we go again......another day in a motel room. Oh, don'e get me wrong, the chance to kick back and relax is great....but, great ended a few days ago. Let me back up. Last wee we had to have out truck serviced at one of our yards....this requires changing the oil, greasing all the fittings and fifth wheel, bring the fluid levels up to where they should be and checking for an problems and issue's that I have told them about. The only thing I asked them to look at was that the engine seemed to be running a little rough. The service as itself should only take about 3 - 4 hours. Eight hours later the only thing that this new mechanic was able to accomplish wash the basic service....oil, grease, filters and fluid levels.....the day crew would have to finish what was left, roughness of engine and new tires. Now during this 8 plus hours Ruth Ann, Babygirl and I had to sit outside on a concrete bench as Babygirl is not allowed in the building. So when the mechanic informed us of his imcompentance it was mid-night and he pulled the truck out of the shop wo we would have a place to sleep. The next morning we were told as to the fact that the new guy did not put the right information in the system that we would have to wait till that afternoon before they could get to us. Now it is our turn and a different machanic is assinged to our truck and we talk and he gets under the truck and in a discussed verble expression says SHIT. He come out from under and states that the new guy should never have been working on the truck by himself.....well, duh. Now we have an air compressor problem and this will take awhile. The only thing that got done that day was that a female machanic put new tires on the truck, and she took them off and got them on, did not screw anything up, knew what she was doing and did it in a timely manner, perhaps she should have been over-seeing the new guys work, just saying. I told the newly assined machanic we were getting a motel. Which we had to pay for.

"There comes a time."

Life is filled with so many adventures rather they be exciting or heartbreaking and everything in between. You walk down many paths in your life's journey that take you to the places you thought was the right way and many times it was the wrong road. But, no matter which way you ventured it has made you who you are.

All that being said, my life has been very interesting with all it's downfalls and uplifting stages. I have come to the point in my life that I can reflect on all the years that I have lived through.

Now, with out getting to religious, I know that there is a God because of the wonders that He has done in my life, one being that I am still alive after all the crazy things that I have done.

My wife is going through some very serious things right due to cancer....we have a large family, friends and groups that have prayed and sent comforting wishes to and for us.

We are not out of the woods yet but we see first hand that prayers do work.

You can take this as you wish I just wanted to get a little off my chest.

If you know of someone that is sick, then say a little prayer for them.

ALTERNATIVE CHILDREN

Well, here it is a year later and the hurt of our little Babygirl still is within our hearts. She is laid to rest next to the flower bed along side of the parking pad so she is always there for us to see. It is hard to tell someone that is not a pet owner the depth of pain you have loosing one of your alternative children, the loss of our first Babygirl still brings sorrow to us. They will forever live in out memories.

We now have Alex, our first boy and he is all boy. He is a loving and caring little guy and love to play with his toys. At times he thinks we are a chew toy and when he starts to get a little over bearing with the biting we tell him no and he quickly goes into the love mode. He loves for us to be around and waste no time to cuddle into us. He is different from the two Babygirls and has his own personality.

We are a alternative child family and will always be one...we love our kids just like the parents of human kids....if you come to our home, you will be greeted by barking and smelling...when he gets uses to you being in His home, and he senses that you are okay to be here he will make up to you and allow you to stay and perhaps pet and hold him.
