As I sit here thinking about what to do this long three day week-end, there are parades, BBQ, parties and so on and so on. I realize that there are so many that just are not really knowing what this Memorial Day thing really is. If it is a celebration then it is a somber celebration. The day is to remember those that gave their all for your freedom, your country and your life. They went knowing they may not come back, they went knowing that the road ahead was dangerous, they went knowing they where leaving the safety of their homes and they left knowing they may never see their loved ones again. They left for you and me and it is our turn, our duty and our love for them to bow our heads and thank them for what the did and what they gave up for our country. So, go a head and have your fun with your family and friends and enjoy the freedom that they gave to us.....BUT, take a moment and give thanks to them, to their families and friends that we have this day to remember them.
